Who is Orange Door?
Holly Willwerth is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University earning her Bachelor's in Graphic Design with a Photography minor. She is also a wife, mom of two, former Kitchen Designer, and Production Assistant for a sports photography company. During all of that, she has always been a photographer. She grew up in Iowa and spent half of her life in South Carolina, making her a little salty and a little sweet. She is currently living back home in Iowa with her husband and two girls.
Why Orange Door?
Holly and her three sisters grew up having their pictures taken in box store studios or by family members in all sorts of locations. Every time, they were all dressed alike and posed alike with no wiggle room for individuality to shine through. Because of this, she is less interested in the banality of overly posed photos and is more interested in capturing personalities. She enjoys the challenge of photographing someone as they are at that moment, unabashedly present and unapologetic. From children who can't part with their favorite toy to adults who have come to terms with who they are or families who blend all of that with love for each other, Holly focuses her portraiture on capturing those personalities creating artwork for your walls to be enjoyed for years to come.
